The Regional Advisory Board (RAB) of the NCCR North-South JACS Central Asia consists of four regular members representing an academic or research institution from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan or Uzbekistan.
Currently the RAB members are:
Ivanova Natalia (chair person), Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University Dhanani Nasreen, University of Central Asia Kholov Bobisho, Tajik Soil Institute Skorintseva Irina, Institute of Geography, Ministry of Education of Kazakhstan Arynova Mira, Regional Coordination Office NCCR North-South JACS Central Asia
The members are expected to fulfill the following tasks:
• Participate in and contribute to JACS strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation activities (including quality control)
• Support fundraising for NCCR North-South activities in Central Asia
• Contribute to networking and act as ambassadors for NCCR North-South
• Assist in coaching and supervising studies, particularly PhD and MSc students
•Involve in decision making processes such as the assessment and selection of PhD students and their respective supervisors, PAMS proposals or small research mandates
• Participate and help in organizing events such as the RTC or NCCR North-South Open Days
• Assist in (re-)publishing articles in Russian and/or English by providing comments, inputs and identifying/contacting appropriate journals
